AUDITIONS

Auditions are in two forms. Applicants can choose to have either DVD audition or LIVE audition

Application deadline: December 1, 2013

London: February 3, 2014
Paris: February 5 & 6, 2014
Düsseldorf: February 8, 2014
New York City: February 11 & 12, 2014
Announcement of winner: March 1, 2014

LIVE Auditions in CHINA
Audition process in CHINA will take place separately. DEADLINE: April 1, 2014
AUDITION Dates: September, 2014.
Audition Cities in CHINA:
Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou,
Shenzhen, Shenyang, Wuhan
*Regulations in CHINESE will be available
by December 31, 2013.

PRIZE

The winner will be offered a fully subsidized Carnegie Weill Recital Hall Debut in New York City in the season 2014-2015 presented by New York Concert Artists & Associates with full publicity services and New York Concert Review.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

All required materials must be submitted and uploaded to the online application form.
Application shall contain the following documents:

  1. Application form
  2. A high-resolution professional photo in an electronic form: upload your high resolution photo directly to the online application form or email to info@newyorkconcertartists.com
  3. A resume including the information of previous concert experiences, education, prizes and awards.
  4. A non-refundable application fee $100 (Late application: $150) by check or money order or pay online
  5. Audition program (work title, opus number, composer, dates)
  6. Repertoire list
  7. A copy of applicant’s birth certificate, passport or any other official document establishing the age of the applicant.
  8. A letter of recommendation from a renowned musician (The recommendation letter can be sent by mail or emailed directly from the recommending musician. If sent by email, please write applicant's name in the subject box)
  9. Those choosing DVD auditions must submit two identical DVDs (See DVD guidelines).
  10. Two Suggested Programs for Your Carnegie Debut Recital

Application has to be in its completion. Incomplete application will not be considered.
Documents sent will not be returned.

DVD Guidelines
  • DVDs must show one hour of the applicant's solo performance
  • Two identical DVDs must be sent.
  • DVDs must be of high quality. We recommend using external microphones for audio.
  • DVDs must contain performance materials made within the past two years.
  • DVDs must not have been edited.
  • DVDs shall present the performance of the pianist’s hands, his/her whole silhouette and right profile
  • DVDs need to be signed either by the video engineer or by the applicant’s teacher or other known musician
