Italian pianist Gabriele Leporatti began his music studies at the age of six and graduated “Magna cum Laude” from the "Luigi Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence at the age of nineteen.  He continued his musical education under the guide of Fabio Bidini,  Maria Tipo, Jerome Rose and Joaquín Achúcarro.

Currently based in Germany, his career has brought him to perform in Italy, Turkey, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany, Poland, Estonia, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, USA and China, at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, the NDR Hannover (Kleiner Sendesaal), the Philharmonie Herford, the He Luting Hall, while some of his performances and recordings were broadcasted by medias like SAFm (South Africa), RBB Kulturradio (Germany) and Raitre (Italy).  In 2009 he made his New York City debut recital at the prestigious “International Keyboard Institute and Festival”.

Engagements for 2013/14 season will feature appearances in concerts in USA, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Holland.

As an active chamber musician, he performed together with artists like Eva Mei and Fabio Bidini and since 2007 he is co-musical director of the chamber music festival “Linari Classic” in Italy, where he regularly performs with soloists from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the Rotterdam Philarmonics Orchestra.

His discography includes a four hands piano music CD with Fabio Bidini (Schubert, Brahms, Rachmaninoff) for True Sounds Label and a solo CD “The Young Brahms” with early Brahms piano music.

On top of his performing career, he is regularly invited to serve as jury member in many piano competitions and to give masterclasses in various universities worldwide.  Since 2011 he is Adjunct Faculty at the “International Keyboard Institute and Festival” in New York and since 2012 he is faculty member at the Anton Rubinstein Akademie in Düsseldorf.
